Brittany Bennett

Principal Designer

    Hi, I’m Brittany.

I’m an interior designer in Las Vegas, Nevada helping people who aren’t happy with the way their homes look and feel. I’ve learned that design is so much more than putting together rooms that look nice. They need to function well and feel like home! If your home doesn’t work for your lifestyle, or if it doesn’t inspire you to feel your best every day, let’s change that!

I find inspiration in traveling. I’m drawn to the colors, patterns, and textures that give each place its signature style. My souvenirs from trips (whether they’re tangible things I’ve brought back, or simply a color I found and adopted) create an environment unique to my life experiences, full of reminders of places I’ve loved.

My objective as a designer is to help you create an environment full of the things that inspire you. So that every day, you wake up grateful that you get to call your home yours, and every space in it makes you feel happy and comfortable and at peace. I can help you fall in love with your home again. Let’s create the kind of place you dream about.

    My Background

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Interiors Merchandising from East Carolina University, and spent 4.5 years in marketing and design for a custom-order upholstery manufacturer: Smith Brothers of Berne.

Before starting my business, I had about 15 years of experience decorating my own living spaces (6 different addresses over the years!) and frequently got compliments from visitors and requests from friends and family to help them decorate. Even a number of delivery people, seeing a sliver of my house when I opened the door, complimented the design!

In the spring of 2021, I started House of a Different Color, a residential interior design business based in Las Vegas.

    Design Style

Not every client is the same, and not every project (even for the same client) is the same.

    Design Style

I tailor my designs to what you want and what is important to you, so in the end, your home feels like YOUR home, but the best version of it.

With that said, I find my strength in the ambiguous design style called “boho”. This is short for Bohemian, and it basically just means that the finished space pulls in elements from a variety of styles for an eclectic look.

Maybe it’s because I developed my taste as a student without the funds for redecorating more than just one piece at a time… maybe it’s because I like too many things to pick just one… I’m not sure; but, I find the best way to decorate a space is to fill it with the things you love, even if they don’t all fit neatly into a single design style.

Residential design means the people you need to impress are you. So, let’s make your home the way you like it.
